The other way to stay
Half of Quartzsite never sees a hookup. They park on the public land around town, spread out for miles, and stay for the whole season.
The season runs September 15 through April 15 on the public land around town, and the permit is one flat fee for the whole winter rather than a nightly rate.
There is room out there. Boondockers spread for miles across the Bureau of Land Management parcels that ring Quartzsite, and nobody is crowded.
Most of the open desert has no hookups, water or dump station. Fill the tank in town, plan the propane, and leave no trace when you roll out in the spring.
